Petition: Help Save Community Living and Promote the Citizenship of Persons with Disabilities

Standard 8 of the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Safety Standards Regulation imposes undue hardship on those who receive 24 hour support. This government policy forces people with disabilities to choose between having the support they need and the freedom to live like every other Canadian Citizen—a choice that pulls at the very fibres of these citizens’ constitutional rights.

The goal of this petition is to stop PDD Safety Standards and instate an MLA-led stakeholder review of Alberta’s PDD system.
