Boyd received the 2020 Lexus of Edmonton CHANGED LIFE Award. The award is awarded to an artist who helps show how profound becoming part of the collective at the Nina can be. The artist's experiences at the Nina have enabled them to change their view on life and add the word artist to the story they tell about themselves. The people they know have a new appreciation for their unique abilities and commitment to themselves.

Boyd is a prolific ceramic artist at the Nina with an incredible work ethic. His animal figures are meticulously crafted and painted, each one showcasing his distinct style.
