MyCompass Missions

The MyCompass Missions feature provides guided "choose your own adventures" for the people we serve to try new things as an engaged community member. Helping people to learn by doing, the Missions Feature takes people step-by-step through different experiences to try new things, and reflect on whether they would like to explore something similar or incorporate that activity into their routine.

  • People supported by Skills Society can access the Missions Feature through their MyCompass profile. Supports can help people to browse Missions and make time to explore.

The MyCompass Support page has helpful articles on how to use the Missions Feature that can be found here.

    • People who have limited experiences in the world often need support to imagine new possibilities for themselves - just asking often isn’t quite enough. The Missions feature helps people to discover themselves, their gifts, their wishes, and new things to try as an engaged community member. Creating space for self-discovery and exploration can be a launching point for creating opportunities for people to share their gifts with the community.

    • The Missions feature is rooted in fostering connections with others and people with disabilities having the same opportunities and experiences as any other citizen. It is intentionally designed to spark moments of connection and support people in reflecting on how they might connect with others in different spaces.

    • Drawing on the principles from behaviour change science, The Missions feature can help support workers shake up assumptions and see different possibilities for the people they serve

Are you someone served by Skills, a support, family member or ally who’s used the MyCompass Missions feature? Have feedback or an idea?
