Join us for Skills Society’s 45th Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

This year’s theme reflects our movement through a period of transition. The landscape of community disability services continues to evolve in ways that require us to stay attentive, adaptive, and grounded. What we hold to navigate this change is not a finished plan, but something that matters deeply in uncertain times: our values, our relationships, and our shared commitment to disability rights and inclusion. This commitment guides us as we meet this complexity with determination and creativity. Importantly, the people we support continue to guide and teach us, showing us what the path forward looks like and what to hold onto. We learn by doing, together. We build the path by travelling it.

The AGM is always a meaningful time to connect, hear stories from across our community, and recognize some of the incredible people and moments that shaped the past year. Whether you're part of our community, our team, a partner organization, a friend or family member, or simply interested in learning more, everyone is welcome.

Agenda Overview

  • Doors Open: 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM
    Grab a drink from the cash bar, enjoy some appetizers, and visit the CommuniTEA Van before we settle into the main event.

  • Business Meeting: 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM
    We’ll kick things off with the formal business portion of the AGM, including the appointment of auditors and new board members and approval of the annual budget.

  • Stories & Celebration: 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM
    More informal e'll share highlights from the past year, recognize award recipients, and reflect on the values and people that keep this movement rooted and growing.

  • Wrap Up: 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM
    Stick around for some informal connecting and conversation. The cash bar will remain open, and this is a great time to catch up with friends and meet new people.

Appetizers and light refreshments will be available, so please RSVP by June 18 to help us plan accordingly.
